get your finances right.

The books for every company you own, in one place.

entro. keeps separate books for each LLC, rental property and family account, then rolls them up into one picture of what you own and owe. Money moved between your own companies is left out, so the totals are the real ones.

Works in any browser, and installs on your phone like an app.

How it works

From bank statement to tax packet in three steps

Bring in what your bank already gives you. entro. files it, learns your habits, and keeps the reports current.

Import your statements

Upload the statement files from your bank, card or lender, or bring your history over from QuickBooks.

  • CSV, Excel, OFX, QFX, QBO and PDF statements
  • QuickBooks history, categories and properties
  • A duplicate check finds likely doubles to review

It categorizes for you

Your own rules run first. After that, entro. looks at how you filed the same payee before and fills in the category and property.

  • Learns from your past transactions
  • Loan payments split into principal and interest
  • A short list of anything it isn't sure about

Read the reports

Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow for each company or all of them together, plus Schedule E and a year-end packet for your accountant.

  • Print to PDF or download as CSV
  • Reconcile against each statement
  • Give your accountant read-only access

Features

Full bookkeeping, without the clutter

Everything a small business or rental owner needs to keep proper books, organized so the screen you need is easy to find.

Every company, separately

Each LLC gets its own books, chart of accounts and reports. Switch between them from the top of any page.

One combined view

The Global view rolls every company together: all accounts, all income, all debt, all properties, and a consolidated income statement.

Bank, card and loan accounts

Checking, savings, credit cards, mortgages and other loans, each with its own register and a running balance.

Auto-file and rules

Write a rule once, or let entro. learn from how you filed a payee before. Rules always win when you've set one.

Loan interest, worked out

Enter the loan's terms and each payment is split into principal and interest based on the interest that built up since the last payment.

Invoices, bills and estimates

Send invoices and estimates by email, record bills and sales receipts, make deposits, and track purchase orders, credit memos and vendor credits.

Budgets and forecasts

Set a budget and compare it with what you actually spent. See a cash flow forecast built from open invoices and bills.

Reconciliation

Check each account against its statement, with a reconciliation report and a status page showing which accounts are current.

Documents and receipts

Upload statements, receipts and closing papers and keep them with the books they belong to.

Reports you can hand over

P&L by month, company, class or property; balance sheet comparisons; trial balance; general ledger; statement of cash flows; aging; and more.

Tax time

A year-end tax packet on one page, a tax overview, sales tax, a mileage log, and a W-9 and 1099 readiness check.

For real-estate investors and multi-LLC owners

Built for owners with a property in every LLC

When one company pays a bill for another, most software books a loan between them that nobody will ever repay. entro. books it the way it really works when every company files on your own return.

  • Money between your companies, handled. It's recorded as owner equity, not a "due to / due from" loan, and left out of combined totals.
  • Properties with leases and tenants. A rent roll, rent collected, and security deposits held separately as money you owe back.
  • Appraisals and estimated values. Record appraisals, broker opinions, tax assessments or your own estimate, and see your equity at market value.
  • Depreciation and Schedule E. Track depreciation per property and get Schedule E and P&L by property for each year.
  • Mortgages that split themselves. Each payment's interest goes to the right property as an expense; the principal reduces the loan.

Personal

A calmer version for personal money

Not everyone needs invoices and a chart of accounts. A Personal login shows just your own money: your accounts, what you own and owe, and where it went. It's a good fit for a spouse, a parent or anyone who wants their finances in order without the business pages.

  • Just the essentials. Home, accounts, transactions, loans, scheduled payments, documents, budget and reports. No business pages.
  • Plain-English reports. What I own & owe, income and spending by month, budget vs. actual, and this year vs. last.
  • Easy to read. Larger text and bigger buttons throughout, so the screen is never the hard part.
  • Private to each person. Every user has their own books; nobody sees anyone else's money.

Security & privacy

Your books stay yours

Every set of books belongs to one person, and that is checked on every request, not just on the screen.

Passkeys

Sign in with Face ID, Touch ID or your device's passkey instead of a password.

Two-step verification

Add a code from an authenticator app for a second check at sign-in.

Private books per user

Each user has their own books. The owner decides who has a login, but never sees what's in another user's books.

Team access you control

Give staff, a bookkeeper or your accountant their own login, limited to the companies you choose, at Full access, Accountant or View only.

Audit trail

Every change is recorded under the name of the person who made it, and a Recently deleted page brings things back.

Full backup

Download everything you own in one file whenever you like, and keep a copy at the close of each year.

Balances you can trust

Balances are always worked out from the transactions themselves, never a stored figure that can drift.

Limits that hold

Team logins can't see companies you didn't give them, run all-company reports, export, back up or manage people.

Plans

Two ways to use entro.

Every user gets their own private login and books. Business owners can also bring their team.

Personal

For your own money, or a family member's.

  • Bank, card and loan accounts with statement import
  • Auto-categorizing from your past transactions
  • Scheduled payments, documents and a budget
  • What I own & owe, spending by month, and this year vs. last
  • Larger text and a simpler layout
  • Passkeys, two-step verification and full backup

Questions

Frequently asked

Does entro. connect to my bank?

Not with a live connection. You download statements from your bank, card or lender and upload them. entro. reads CSV, Excel, OFX, QFX, QBO and PDF files, flags likely duplicates for you to review, and files each transaction.

Can I bring my history over from QuickBooks?

Yes. Export the Journal and Balance Sheet reports from QuickBooks and upload them. entro. brings in your accounts, categories, properties and transactions, and links loan payments and transfers between accounts.

I own several LLCs. Do they each get their own books?

Yes. Each company has its own accounts, categories and reports, and you switch between them from the top of any page. The Global view adds them all up, leaving out money moved between your own companies.

Can I start fresh from a certain date?

Yes. Pick a start date and everything before it is closed out, so your registers begin clean on that date while the full history stays in your books.

Can my accountant or bookkeeper work in my books?

Yes, on the Business plan. Add them to your team with their own login and choose which companies they can see. At the Accountant level they can categorize, edit, reconcile and import, but can't delete transactions or add or remove accounts. Or give them View only, or Full access.

Can my staff use it?

Yes. Business owners can add as many team logins as they need. Each person signs in with their own email and password, works only in the companies you tick, and every change they make shows in your audit trail under their name.

Can my family use it too?

Yes. Give each person their own login as a Personal or Business user. Each user has private books, and nobody sees anyone else's money.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. entro. runs in any browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app. It can also send you notifications.

Can I get my data out?

Any time. A full backup downloads every table as a CSV, plus every document you've uploaded, in one file.
